What we collect

When you register and use the FLO LLC CDL Training Portal, we collect the information you provide directly (name, email address, driver license/permit number, state, and date of birth where required for the enrollment agreement), account security data (a hashed password — never your plaintext password — and session/login activity), your training progress (lessons viewed, practice test scores and attempts), your enrollment agreement signature and acceptance record, and, if you complete identity verification, photos of your license and a live selfie. If you pay the course enrollment fee, we record the payment status, amount, date, and payment method category (cash, check, money order, or a processor-issued reference) — we do not store raw card or bank account numbers anywhere in this system. If you previously paid the former registration/application fee, which is no longer charged, that historical payment record is kept separately for recordkeeping and refund purposes.

How we use it

We use this information to operate your training account, verify your identity and eligibility where applicable, process your course enrollment fee, track and document completion of FLO's theory-training program (including issuing a Certificate of Completion once earned), and meet FLO LLC's recordkeeping and reporting obligations as an FMCSA Training Provider Registry provider.

How it may be shared

FLO LLC does not sell your personal information. We do not share it for third-party marketing or advertising purposes. We may disclose information, only as necessary, in these circumstances:

How we protect it

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in plaintext. Identity verification documents are encrypted at rest. Every state-changing action in this system — including access to sensitive records — is written to an internal audit log. Access to the Personnel Portal is restricted to authorized FLO LLC staff.

Retention

We retain student, agreement, payment, and compliance records for as long as needed to meet our business and regulatory recordkeeping obligations. A student account that is no longer active is archived rather than deleted, so these records remain intact; permanent deletion is only available for a genuine, empty test account with no financial, contractual, compliance, or identity-verification history on file.

Website analytics

FLO LLC measures how this website is used with its own first-party analytics. Nothing is shared with an outside analytics or advertising company. When you view a public page, the site sets two cookies: a random visitor identifier (kept for up to two years) and a browsing-session identifier (deleted when you close your browser). With them we record the pages you view, buttons you click on this site, the time of each visit, your general device type, browser and operating system, the page that referred you, and the country Cloudflare reports for the connection. We do not record your IP address, and we do not use browser fingerprinting. We also record whether your browser says it is under automated control, so bots can be separated from people.

If you create an account or sign in, your earlier visits from the same browser are linked to your account. Staff use this information to improve the website, find broken links and detect automated abuse. Visitor classifications are estimates and are never treated as proof of who you are.
